The team members have got involved in many different projects and collaborations.
Since september 2010, the computer algebra team is a partner of the ANR BLANC 2010 LEDA project (Logistics of Differential Algebraic Equations). The other partners are the IMT at the university Paul Sabatier in Toulouse, the LGC at the university Paul Sabatier and the LIX at the École Polytechnique.
Since June 2008, the team is in contract with the MAPLESOFT company. This collaboration has aimed at including the BLAD libraries in MAPLE. It gave birth to the DifferentialAlgebra package (may 2010).
The team keeps tight relationships with the Ontario Research Centre for Computer Algebra which is part of the University of Western Ontario. A former member of our team, Marc Moreno Maza, currently holds a position at ORCCA. He is specialized in polynomial systems solving. François Lemaire created in collaboration with him the RegularChains package of MAPLE. The team was visited a few times by Greg Reid on the topic of the simplification of systems with partial derivatives.
Since september 2007, members of the computer algebra team and of the bioComputing team are working together on biological modelling. They focus, in particular, on the deterministic modeling of statistical moments which arise in stochastic modeling of gene regulatory networks.
The computer algebra team collaborates with the Biological Network Group of the Computational Biology Research Center, Tokyo. We focus on parameters estimation problems in deterministic models of gene regulatory networks.
