Access to LIFL
The L.I.F.L is housed in several places:
- in the M3 building (see below the acces description) and its extension on the campus of
Lille 1 (Villeneuve d'Ascq).
- in the building of the INRIA
Lille-Nord Europe Research Center
- in the building of IRCICA institute (located next the INRIA building)
Access to the M3 building:The campus is linked directly to Lille (15 mins)
by the ligne 1 of the metro (CHR B
Calmette/Quatre Cantons): last train 0:15. The laboratory can be reached :
- By the subway :

- Get off at the Cité Scientifique station ;
- Follow the elevated metro track as far as the library ;
- Turn right towards the building M1

- The M3 building is situated just behind it.
- By train :
- The subway is accessible in the halls of the
railway stations of Lille (Lille Europe and Lille Flandres). The railway
station Lille Europe is at one station of the railway station Lille
Flandres, via line 2 , direction Saint Philibert. At the
station Lille Flandres, you can take the line 1 to the direction
Quatre-Cantons and get off at the the Cité Scientifique station
(approximately 15 minutes from the railway station of Lille Flandres).
- By car :

- Coming from Paris, take the A1 motorway and follow the Lille direction. Just before
Lille follow the direction of Villeneuve d'Ascq and leave the motorway at the Cité
Scientifique exit.
- Coming from Bruxelles (E42 motorway) or from Gand (E17 motorway), follow the
Rijsels (Lille) direction. Just before Lille, follow the direction of Villeneuve
d'Ascq and leave the motorway at the Cité Scientifique exit.
- Coming from Calais (A26 motorway), take the motorway and fellow St Omer
direction then the Lille direction, join the A1 motorway and then fellow the same
indications as coming from Paris
- By plane :
- The international airport of Lille-Lesquin
airport serves the majority of the French cities, some European cities and other more
remote cities. It is located only at 5 kilometers of the laboratory and a little more of
Lille. There are shuttles between the airport and the railway stations of the center town of
Lille.
