J'ai été élu Maître de Conférences en informatique au LIFL en 1996. J'ai eu une délégation CNRS de 2000 à 2002. J'ai passé mon habilitation à diriger des recherches le 4 mai 2006 et j'ai été élu Professeur en informatique au LIFL (pour la recherche) et à Polytech'Lille (pour l'enseignement) en 2010. Je suis le directeur de l'équipe calcul formel depuis septembre 2011. Je suis responsable de la 5ème année de la filière GIS depuis 2012.

My name is François Boulier. I was born on August 6th 1965 in Alençon and I performed my academic training at the university Lille 1.

(:if userlang fr:) Je m'appelle François Boulier. Je suis né le 6 août 1965 à Alençon et j'ai accompli mon cursus universitaire à l'université Lille 1.

J'ai soutenu une thèse en calcul formel le 27 juin 1994, sous la direction de Gérard Jacob, au LIFL. Le mémoire s'intitule Étude et implantation de quelques algorithmes en algèbre différentielle. Son principal résultat est la première version de l'algorithme Rosenfeld-Gröbner, qui constitue le premier algorithme complet d'élimination pour les systèmes d'équations différentielles polynomiales.

J'ai effectué un stage post-doctoral au Symbolic Computation Group de l'université de Waterloo (Ontario, Canada), de septembre 1995 à août 1996. C'est à cette occasion que j'ai développé la première version du paquetage MAPLE diffalg.

 My name is François Boulier. I was born on August 6th 1965 in Alençon and I performed my academic training at the university Lille 1.

I defended a PhD thesis in computer algebra on June 27th 1994, under the direction of Gérard Jacob. The memoir is entitled Étude et implantation de quelques algorithmes en algèbre différentielle. Its main result is the first version of the Rosenfeld-Gröbner algorithm, which constitutes the first complete elimination algorithm for systems of polynomial differential equations.

I was a post-doctoral fellow of the Symbolic Computation Group at the university of Waterloo (Ontario, Canada), from September 1995 to August 1996. During this year, I developed the first version of the MAPLE diffalg package.
