From September 2008, I am on leave at the French-Russian J.-V.Poncelet Lab in Moscow. To reach me please use the contact data above.
I am a CNRS Directeur de recherche and work in the Laboratoire d'Informatique Fondamentale de Lille (LIFL) in the SEQUOIA group, also affiliated with the INRIA Lille - Nord Europe research center.
My scientific area is Theoretical Computer Science, but my research directions evolved over time. During last years, I have been doing research in the area of Discrete Algorithms: combinatorial algorithms, algorithmic complexity, algorithm design and engineering. I am also particularly interested in Bioinformatics, especially in algorithmic methods of biosequence analysis. Please consult my research page for more information.
I participate in the development of mreps and YASS software, as well as in the development of the Norine database.
