Conference Diner (Tuesday July 5th)
It is in the enclosure of the "Porte de Gand", classified historic site, built in 1620, that the restaurant La Terrasse des Remparts settled. Play of glazed and coloured bricks frontage turned towards the city, as well as the external defensive elements in perfect state make of this testimony of the history of Lille a tourist high-place. Without null doubts an original and tasty way to nourish at the same time the spirit and the body.

Pedestrian Walk (Monday July 4th): Lille: Amazement in the old city
Plunge in the most charming district of Lille, structures, restaurants, coffee shops, museums. You in its streets and its small places walk by discovering the inheritance, the history and the art of living of Lille through its principal sites and monuments: the Palate Rihour, the Goddess, Grand' Places, the Old Stock Exchange Place, the Opera, the Chamber of Commerce, the Comtesse small island, the Hospice Comtesse and the Cathedral "Notre-Dame de la Treille".
With the end of this course, taste within the framework convivial and typical of a brewery, authentic local beers.

What to do on Sunday July 3th
The Museum "Beaux Arts" (Lille National Museum) is open with free entrance every fisrt sunday of month, and will then offer free entrances on Sunday July 3th from 10.00 to 18.00.

The Museum of Modern Art of Villeneuve d'Ascq will also be open with free entrance until 14.00.

Solds start in Lille on wednesday June 29th, then many shops would be open in Lille town center on Sunday July 3th.

An original event is the Wazemmes market (once of the biggest market in France, with food, clothes and many others things, with a very typical atmosphere). It takes place every Sunday morning until about 14.00, not far from the town center.
